Troubleshooting issues when adding team members

Common issues you might experience when adding team members.

  1. Error Message: 'Email address/login is already being used. Please update or create a new login.'
      1. Cause: This may occur if the user is a TriNet customer or already has an account with Clarus.

        Remedy
        1. If it is known this user is a TriNet customer, try to add them on the TriNet customer tab by their employee ID or login.
        2. If this person is not a TriNet customer, verify they do not already have an account on the team members page and then add them with a different login value.
  2. Error Message: 'Unable to send invitation because the users account is locked. Please contact support.'
      1. Cause: This user already has an account under the provided login and the user has exceeded the number of login attempts defined in the login policy.

        Remedy
        1. Manual intervention is required by a member of the engineering team. Please contact your service provider or submit a ticket via the help menu.
  3. Error Message: 'Team member already exists.'
      1. Cause: The user is already a team member for the given client.

        Remedy
        1. A fresh login email can be sent from the team member's page.
