Uploading Expenses in Bulk

Use an Excel template to upload all R&D expenses.

  1. On the Expenses page, scroll down to the Import Expenses section.
  2. Click Download to Excel.
  3. Open the Excel download from your browser or from your computer’s downloads folder. Remember to enable editing on the Excel template.
  4. Fill in expense details on Payroll, Contracting, and Supplies tabs on the Excel template. Remember to allocate your expenses by state and project.
  5. Save the template once all expenses have been added. The updated template must not be renamed or the file will fail when uploaded to the platform.
  6. Return to the platform and select Upload Your Excel File.
  7. From the file explorer, select the updated expense Excel template. You will see the selected file listed under Here's What You Got.
  8. Click Import Expenses.
